Beaujolais Wine & 'Coq au Vin' Night

26 September, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: plymouth

The Beaujolais wine region is home to fresh, fruit-driven wines. Red wines are Gamay based, with plantings of this variety taking up more than half of Beaujolais' area under vine. Chardonnay is also grown very successfully for production of white wines which reveal lovely expressions, and are comparable to a white Burgundy.

There are ten villages throughout the region such as Fleurie, Morgon and Juliénas, which each produce their own unique wines thanks to their different combinations of soil make-up, vineyard orientation, altitude, and microclimates.

During this evening we'll guide you through some of our favourite examples of Beaujolais wine, showcasing the variety of wines produced in the region.

The wine tasting will be followed by a hearty 'Coq au Vin' served with a glass of your favourite. Bon appétit!

Vegetarian 'Quorn au Vin' is available on request when booking, we apologise that other dietary requirements cannot be catered for at this event.
