Little Pomona Thick Cut Cider 2021

Thick cut is the result of a sumptuous, bottle conditioned, single varietal cider, drawn exclusively from ex-Cognac casks after 9 months of maturation.

Such is the depth of the burnished orange colour, it looks like you’re pouring liquid marmalade into a glass! It’s sweet on the nose, almost barley sugar, but there’s also incense, dark chocolate, candied orange and smoke. On the palate, there’s more sweetness, together with orange oil, orange peel, baking spice especially clove, all wrapped in pillowy soft and chewy tannins. A fine streak of gentle acid gives it freshness and fruit and a lingering sweetness at the finish.
