'Luddite' Meet the Winemaker

An evening hosted by Niels the owner & winemaker from Luddite, Bot River, South Africa.
Sit back and enjoy a guided tasting of wines from the vineyard, whilst learning a little more about the history, production methods and beliefs.
Luddite Wines is a small family winery situated on the Eastern slopes of the Houw Hoek Mountains. Niels and Penny Verburg started in 1999 with the sole aim of making world class Shiraz.
Since then, 8.5ha of vineyards and 480 olive trees have been planted. Every effort is made, as the name states, to make wines with minimal interference and maximum integrity. The Luddite Shiraz has since been joined by a Chenin Blanc and the very successful Saboteur White & Red Blends.
